Gave 'general description' about condition in Bengal: WB Governor

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi on Monday said he gave a "general description" about the condition in the state during meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The "courtesy" meetings came after a day the Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued an advisory to the West Bengal government expressing "deep concern" over the deaths of people in post-poll violence. "I gave a general description about the condition in Bengal to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister," Tripathi told reporters at Banga Bhawan.
