Rebel MLAs seek more time to meet K'taka Speaker

n an unending battle of nerves, the Karnataka assembly was adjourned till Tuesday without voting on the confidence motion moved by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy even after three days of debate, amid ruckus by Congress and Janata Dal-Secular, which insisted voting can await the Supreme Court ruling.

Amid the drama and chaos, 13 rebel MLAs have sought one month's time to meet the Speaker. As per one rebel MLA, "I need to consult my lawyer. Minimum disqualification time as per law is seven days."

On Monday, Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar had summoned the rebel legislators to meet him at his office at 11 am on Tuesday.
