On Nelson Mandela's 101st birth anniversary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shares this picture, tweeting, "The world misses men like #NelsonMandela more than ever today. His life was a testament to truth, love and freedom.
To me, he was Uncle Nelson (who told me I ought to be in politics long before anyone else did!). He will always be my inspiration and my guide."

The picture was taken in 2001, and she says Mandela was "laughing heartily at my son's fancy topi".

Yesterday, the Congress leader, a late entrant on social media, happily joined in the trend -- that has become a rage on twitter --  of women sharing pictures of themselves draped in sarees.

Priyanka shared a throwback picture of herself in a saree from the morning of her wedding day.

"Morning puja on the day of my wedding (22 years ago!)" Priyanka posted on her Twitter handle along with the trending hashtag #SareeTwitter. Priyanka is seen seated wearing a saree with the pallu draped on her head.
