Unusual praise for Rahul Gandhi from unexpected quarters: Michael Lobo, Goa Deputy Speaker and BJP MLA on the Congress president's dropping in to visit Goa CM Manohar Parrikar. "Rahul Gandhi came on a special visit to greet our ailing CM Manohar Parrikar. His simplicity, humility has to be admired by all Indians and Goans. He is a very simple person and leaders like him are required in Goa and India."

Is the Raga Dalbadlo being sung?

Yesterday, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi met Parrikar at the state assembly complex in Panaji and enquired about his health. Parrikar, 63, who has been suffering from a pancreatic ailment, heads the BJP-led government in the coastal state.

The meeting comes a day after Gandhi alleged that the "Goa audio tapes", cited by the Congress to attack the Centre on the Rafale issue, were authentic and Parrikar was in possession of "explosive secrets" that give him power over Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
