Citizenship Act applicable to all states: Centre

Government sources on five states which have said that they will not implement Citizenship Amendment Act says that the issue of citizenship comes under the union list by 7th schedule of the Constitution and such an amendment is applicable to all states.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced protest rallies against Citizenship Act on December 16, 17 and 18 in Kolkata. Mamata to participate in all the rallies.
