Maha govt: Sena gets Home, NCP Finance, Cong revenue, PWD

Portfolios in the Maharashtra government were announced on Thursday, two weeks after Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray becoming chief minister, with his party getting the important home ministry.

The Nationalist Congress Party has got finance, housing, public health, co- operation ministries, informed a release from the chief minister's office.

The Congress, third partner in the coalition, has got revenue, energy, education, PWD, textiles, women and child welfare ministries.

Balasaheb Thorat (Congress) will be ther minister of revenue, school education, animal husbandry and fisheries; Jayant Patil (NCP) to be the minister of finance and planning, housing, food supply and labour

Shiv Sena's Subhash Desai gets industry, higher and technical education, sports and youth, employment; Nitin Raut of Congress will head PWD, tribal development, OBC development, women and child development and relief and rehabilitation ministries.    -- PTI/ANI
