Chidambaram to be produced in court at 4 pm

The CBI's second round of interrogation with the former home and finance minister P Chidambaram has ended. Reports say he was questioned for over three hours. He is set to be produced before a special CBI court at 4 pm. The CBI will seek his remand.

The senior Congress leader was arrested from his Jor Bagh home in a dramatic series of events on Wednesday night. He was held in a guest house on the ground floor of the CBI headquarters.

After his arrest, doctors from the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital conducted medical examination on him at the CBI headquarters, sources said. Chidambaram has been kept in the suit No. 5 of the CBI Guest House on the ground floor of the agency headquarters, they said.

Chidambaram's son Karti and his wife Nalini are also in court.
