There's a change in time -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the nation at 8 pm today. It was earlier announced that the address, on All India Radio, would be at 4 pm. Now, the Prime Minister's address to the nation will be a television broadcast.

The first indication that there could be a change in timing or even a cancellation was when All India Radio said in a tweet that PM Modi will be addressing the nation at 4 pm and then withdrew the tweet, triggering confusion.

While there is no official confirmation, it is being speculated that the PM may finally speak to the nation on the decision to scrap Article 370.

According to a report in PTI, PM Modi is expected to explain the government's decisions on abrogating special status to Jammu and Kashmir and splitting the state into two union territories.
