Naxals attack BJP convoy in Dantewada

Chhattisgarh: BJP convoy attacked by Naxals in Dantewada. Dantewada MLA Bheema Mandavi was also in the convoy. Early reports say five cops in the convoy may have been killed, while the MLA is reportedly missing. The bulletproof vehicle they were travelling hit an IED. The blast was followed by firing. Details awaited.

In 2013, around 250 Naxals in civilian clothes struck a convoy of Congress leaders during the party's Parivartan Rally in Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur, killing at least 25 people, including state Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel and senior party leader Mahendra Karma.
