PM Modi in Latur, Maharashtra: "I have come to know that you are sitting here since 9.30 am. You are sitting here in this extreme heat. I won't let your 'tapasya' go in vain. I will return this to you with interest."

He says he resolves to hit terrorism and infiltration.

Not a word on local problems like farm distress and year-on-year drought.

"Your blessings and trust gave me strength to do big works. Your trust is my biggest accomplishment in the last five years," Modi says.

He said the government's objective was to rid India of Naxal and the Maoist menace. "We will kill terrorists right in their dens is policy of New India," he said.

Modi added that the Congress manifesto and Pakistan speak the same language on Kashmir-related issues and added that it was in fact the Congress which is responsible for the creation of Pakistan.
