The BJP manifesto was unimpressive, according to Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning, the Congress chief wrote about the BJP's vision, "The Congress manifesto was created through discussion. The voice of over a million Indian people it is wise and powerful.

The BJP manifesto was created in a closed room. The voice of an isolated man, it is short sighted and arrogant."

On Monday, in presence of senior leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled its manifesto -- 'Sankalpit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat'.

The party in its manifesto has made a string of promises, including expeditious construction of a Ram temple, doubling farmers income and the scrapping of Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

It also spoke about making India the third-largest economy globally by 2030 and said the purchase of defence equipment would be fast-tracked to strengthen the armed forces, adding that if voted to power, the government led by the party would continue with its approach of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
