EC asks Yogi to 'be careful in future'

JUST IN: The Election Commission issues Censure (Censure is to express disapproval of someone/something in a formal statement) to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his 'Modi ki Sena' remark.

The Commission has advised him to be more careful in future, being a senior political leader.

"Be careful in your utterances in future," the EC told UP CM.

On Wednesday, the EC had issued a showcause notice to Adityanath for his remark made during a poll rally at Ghaziabad.

Sources in the poll panel had said that, prima facie, Adityanath violated the EC's advisory of keeping armed forces away from political campaign.

A functionary said Adityanath was asked to reply by Friday evening. -- ANI/PTI
