Golden Globe Race skipper and Indian Navy Commander Abhilash Tomy is stable. Further medical examination is underway. He has had food and is on medication, reports ANI.

The Kirti Chakra awardee was rescued from his destroyed yacht Thuriya in a remote part of the Indian Ocean at 12.30 pm yesterday. This is how the multi-nation rescue took place. Read Archana Masih's report here.
