Soldier martyred in encounter in J-K's Shopian, 4 terrorists shot dead

An army soldier was killed and four terrorists were shot dead in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

Based on specific information about the presence of terrorists in Nadigam area of Shopian, security forces launched a cordon and search operation, a police official said.

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired on the forces, who retaliated.
