Karnataka poll: 24% voter turnout recorded till 11 am

About 24 per cent voter turnout has been reorded till 11 am during voting in Karnataka, which is witnessing a three-cornered contest among the ruling Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda's Janata Dal-Secular.

Voting is being held in 222 out of 224 seats where polling began at 7 am.
 
Over 2,600 candidates are in the fray-- more than 2400 men and and over 200 women.
