Mumbaikar wins world whistling championship for second time

Nikhil Rane from Tardeo, south Mumbai, has won the World Whistling Championship in the Hikufuki category for the second time.

The championship was held in Kawasaki, Japan, from May 3 to 5, and 67 participants from 10 countries had participated in it.

There were four from India -- NiKhil Rane from Mumbai and three others from Chennai.

Nikhil had won the championship in 2016 as well in the Hikufuki category, which requires whistlers to combine their performance with a musical instrument.
