How am I a security threat, Mehul Choksi asks CBI

Gitanjali Gems promoter and PNB fraud prime accused Mehul Choksi on Thursday wrote a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation expressing his inability to join the probe in the multi-crore scam.

Choksi cited 'persisting health problem' due to a 'cardiac procedure which was conducted in the first week of February 2018' to say that he is unable to travel. He however, has not revealed about his current location. Choksi also said that he has 'pending work' to complete.

Choksi took the opportunity to fire salvo on officials for suspending his passport. "I further wish to point out that the RPO Mumbai has not given me any explanation as to why my Passport has been suspended and as to how I am a security threat to India," he said in the letter.
