Congress president Rahul Gandhi is set to host an iftaar party in New Delhi on June 13 and the guest list, naturally, will be high-profile but some VVIPs are likely to be missing.

According to a report by Zee News, no invitation has been extended to former President Pranab Mukherjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Vice President Hamid Ansari.

The iftaar party will be held at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, and is being organised after a gap of almost two years.

That Pranab Mukherjee may not be invited to the party comes just days after he attended an event of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Nagpur. The former president received sharp criticism from several senior leaders of the Congress party.
