Sonia, Manmohan attend first meeting of extended CWC

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi are attending the Congress Working Committee meeting.

The meeting would be chaired by party president Rahul Gandhi.

This is the first meeting of the extended CWC, convened by Rahul Gandhi to chalk out the party's future strategy.

He constituted the CWC last week, dropping veterans like Digvijay Singh, Janardan Dwivedi, Kamal Nath, Sushilkumar Shinde and Karan Singh from the party's highest decision-making body. -- ANI, PTI
