Huge blast rocks Kabul

A huge blast rocked Kabul today, reporters and witnesses said, in latest apparent attack in the capital of war-torn Afghanistan.

TOLONews quoted emergency hospital officials as confirming that at least 50 people have been wounded in the massive explosion that tore through the city late in the afternoon.

An eyewitness said the explosion was a car bomb close to the gate of the old Ministry of Interior building in the city.
