Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's lawyer has said that the former Bihar chief minister's sentencing in a fodder scam case will take place tomorrow at 2 pm via video conferencing.

Earlier on Friday, the RJD chief was asked to appear via videoconferencing before a special Central Bureau of Investigation judge who has convicted him in the case.

Lalu appeared before special CBI judge Shiv Pal Singh from Birsa Munda central jail where he is lodged, a CBI counsel said.

The announcement of quantum of punishment was deferred twice since Wednesday.

Lalu was convicted, along with 15 others, in the case on December 23.  -- PTI
