Capt Kundu will be remembered as brave son of India: Khattar

The Haryana government has decided to name the road approaching the government School in Ransika village Haryana and the bus stand in nearby Khod after Captain Kapil Kundu, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar
said today.

He said that a project will also be named after Captain Kundu so that future generations can take inspiration from the martyr. Khattar said that his government may also provide jobs to the army captain's sisters in accordance with the prevailing rules.

The Haryana chief minister met the family of Captain Kundu at his native Ransika village and offered a letter of ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh given by the state government.

He expressed his condolences to the young army captain's mother Sunita Devi and sisters Sonia and Kajal.

Twenty two-year-old Kundu was killed braving Pakistani shelling in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on February 4.
