America has lost a patriot, humble servant: Obama on George HW Bush's demise

Former US President Barack Obama paid tribute to George HW Bush and said that the nation had lost a patriot and humble servant.

Writing on Twitter, Obama said, "While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude. Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight and all who were inspired by George and Barbara's example."

George H W Bush died on Saturday (IST) at the age of 94. He was the 41st US president and also father of the 43rd US president -- George W Bush.
