Nifty breaches 11,400 mark for 1st time, Sensex sees all-time high of 37,778

The Nifty breached the 11,400 mark for the first time. At the same time, the Sensex surged 222.03 points to hit an all-time high of 37,778.19.

Stocks across Asia advanced on Monday as Chinas efforts to stop sharp declines in its currency and capital flight supported wider sentiment in the region, although the escalating Sino-US trade conflict has capped gains.

The last time, the Sensex breached the 37,000 mark was on July 26 when it touched a high of 37,061.62 before closing the day at a new high of 36,984.64.
