A Belgian court has sentenced to Paris terror attack convict Salah Abdeslam to 20 years in jail. He is the sole surviving terrorist from the 2015 Paris terror attacks, over a gunfight that led to his arrest.

Abdeslam was found guilty of a terror-related charge of attempted murder. He exchanged fire with officers who raided a flat in Brussels in March 2016. He had been on the run for four months. Abdeslam, who is being held in a jail in France, is to face trial there over the Paris attacks themselves.
