A day after the Supreme Court dismissed petitions seeking a SIT probe into the death of Judge BH Loya, the BJP has asked its MPs to attack Congress President Rahul Gandhi for defaming party president Amit Shah.

The letter issued by the BJP Parliamentary party also provided the gist of what the party MPs should write in the campaign in their respective constituencies against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress.

The letter issued by Balasubrahmanyam Kamarsu,  Secretary, BJP Parliamentary Party office, asks MPs to give bytes to local TV channels demanding Rahul Gandhi's apology, issue press statements, hold press conferences  and tweet and retweet statements against the Congress president.

The matter that has to be sent out on the social media platforms has also been mentioned in the letter.

A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud on Thursday dismissed the PIL seeking the SIT probe into the death of Judge Loya in 2014 in Maharashtra's Nagpur.

Loya was heading the trial court that was holding a trial in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh alleged fake shootout case in which Amit Shah is an accused.

Congress Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala posted the letter on his twitter account, saying the effort was to stop an enquiry into the case.

"Lameduck efforts by a vile BJP to stop an enquiry into Judge Loya death reaches its zenith as copycats are regimented to toe the fascist line!," Surjewala said in a tweet.
