President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed new Governors in five states.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Governor of Assam and Meghalaya Banwarilal Purohit has been appointed as the Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Ganga Prasad, a veteran MLC from Bihar, has been appointed as Governor of Meghalaya.

Brig (Dr) B D Mishra (retd) appointed as the governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Satya Pal Malik as the governor of Bihar.

Delhi BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi has been appointed as the governor of Assam.

Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi (retd) appointed Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in place of Professor Jagdish Mukhi -- ANI
