Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar arrested

Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's brother, Iqbal Kaskar was arrested in Mumbai over extortion charges.

According to initial reports, the anti-extortion cell of Thane Police held Iqbal Kaskar for allegedly running an extortion racket.

Encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma reportedly led the team of Thane Police that arrested Iqbal.

Iqbal Kaskar, Dawood Ibrahims fifth sibling, had been deported to India from the United Arab Emirates in 2003.

He was wanted in a murder offense and also for his alleged role in the Sara Sahara case where a building came up illegally on government land.

However, Kaskar was acquitted by a court in both cases in 2007.
