Inability to interact with press is an occupational hazard: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that there must be transparency between politicians and journalists.

Addressing senior editors at BJP's Diwali Milan Samaroh in New Delhi, Modi also said that inability to interact with press is an occupational hazard.

He credits mediapersons for giving suggestion to improve nations.

"Apart from doing their jobs, the media has some or the other suggestion to improve nation. The media shows us (politicians) what we need to focus on," Modi said.

Talking about democracy in parties, the PM said that democracy in political parties is a subject more people should know more about.

He also emphasised the importance of transparency in recruitment of party members.
