No travel, ministers told, polls beckon

Almost all the 75 Union ministers have been given election campaign duty in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

However, for emergency international commitments the PMO has said that three days can be squeezed out, but only for senior Cabinet ministers.

That's how seriously the BJP is taking the election challenge in the two states.

On Amit Shah's instructions BJP general secretary Bhupender Yadav has drawn up a poll duty chart for all ministers.

Many of them are not entirely happy at their travel plans being curbed thus, but there's nothing much they can do about it, is there?
