2 army men, 2 terrorists gunned down in encounter in J-K's Bandipora

Two army men were killed on Wednesday during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmirs Bandipora district. 

Two terrorists have also been killed in the gunfight, officials said. 

Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Hajin area of Bandipora district, defence ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said in Srinagar.

Police sources said security forces surrounded Paribal village in Hajin area in the early hours of Wednesday following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists there.

As the security forces came close to the house where the militants were hiding, they were fired at by hiding terrorists triggering an encounter in which two terrorists were killed, sources said.

On October 3, a Border Security Force officer was killed in Kashmir as forces foiled a terrorist attempt to storm a paramilitary base close to the high-security Srinagar airport, sparking an hours-long gun-battle that left all three radicals dead.
