Update on the J&K terror attack: One more terrorist has been gunned down in the anti-terror operations at a BSF camp, taking the number of terrorists killed to three.

However, one BSF jawan was killed and three jawans and a policeman were injured after terrorists attacked a camp near the Srinagar airport on Tuesday morning. Reports said the Jaish-e-Muhammed may be involved in the suicide attack.

Two of the three terrorists were holed up in an administrative building and JCO Mess, said Deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh.

Militants carried out the pre-dawn suicide attack on the BSF camp near the high-security Srinagar International airport.

The attack took place at 4.00 am and the exchange of fire is still on between the militants and security forces, they said.

The terrorists were holed up inside the building campus of the 182nd Battalion camp, BSF officials said.

Outbound passengers have been now allowed to proceed towards the airport where operations were initially suspended as security forces engaged militants who breached the 182 battalion headquarters of the BSF located in Gogoland, police said.

This battalion is entrusted with the security of the runway of the Srinagar Airport. Adjacent to the camp is the old Srinagar air field which is been run by the Indian Air force. The area also houses training centres of the BSF and
the CRPF. Schools in the vicinity of the airport have been closed.
