PM inaugurates India's longest bridge across Brahmaputra in Assam

The Narendra Modi government completed three years in office today. Modi was was sworn-in as Prime Minister on May 26 , 2014 after a landmark victory in the general elections.

The first of the many programmes scheduled to mark the occasion is the opening of the Dhola-Sadia bridge linking eastern Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. This is now India's longest bridge traversing a length of 9.15 km.

The PM will launch a number of other infrastructure projects in Assam today. Celebrations to mark the government's third anniversary, called M.O.D.I or the the Making of Developed India, will last 20 days.

The PM will personally lead five programs, the first of which is this bridge opening.
