Indian woman Uzma, forced to marry Pak man, returns home

Indian woman Uzma, who was allegedly forced to marry a Pakistani man, returns home. Uzma, 20,  who had travelled to Pakistan earlier this month,  said that her Pakistani husband Tahir Ali 'forced' her to marry him at gun point and also harassed her.

External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj who facilitated the return tweeted her welcome: Uzma - "Welcome home India's daughter. I am sorry for all that you have gone through."

An Islamabad High Court bench, headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, returned Uzma her original immigration form after the hearing.

According to a Geo News report, the court also ordered that police provide security to the Indian woman till the Wagah border.
