Maoists attack security force's armoured vehicle in Maharashtra

A landmine-proof vehicle of the C-60 commandos came under attack by alleged Maoists in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. Officials said the incident took place last evening near Bhamragad in the district when a patrol party of the C-60 commandos, was crossing the area.

At least 12 personnel are said to be injured in the landmine blast which targeted the armoured vehicle.

The team of security force personnel had been conducting operations in the area.

Earlier, a CRPF jawan and two Maharashtra Police personnel were injured in an exchange of fire with the Maoists.
