Manipur polls: 21 percent voter turnout recorded till 9 am

A total of 21 percent voter turnout was recorded till 9 am in the last phase of Manipur Assembly polls.


Expressing confidence, Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh earlier in the day said they will get a clear majority in the state polls


Both he and his son Kenedy Singh cast their votes for the last and final phase of the state assembly polls.


Kenedy Singh who is contesting from the Khangabok constituency said he is sure and confident of their win in the elections.


Polling for 22 assembly seats spread across ten districts is being held under tight security from seven in the morning till three in the afternoon.


A total of about eight lakh voters will decide the electoral fortune of 98 candidates at 1151 polling stations in second and last phase of poll.Patr
