Prez polls: OPS camp backs Kovind hours after EPS support

Just in: The AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) camp will support BJPs Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind, says former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam.

The announcement comes hours after the AIADMK (Amma) camp decided to support the NDA presidential candidate.

Though the party's deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran had announced a few days back that only the general secretary VK Sasikala could decide which candidate the party will support, chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday evening told reporters at the party headquarters that they have decided to support Kovind.

The NCP is at a meeting now to decide which way it will lean. The Opposition meeting comes later today.
