There will be short-term challenges: Jaitley on GST

The GST will be launched at the Central Hall of Parliament. Arun Jaitley responds to whether Indian Inc is prepared for GST. "The government had been saying GST will be rolled out by July 1. Nobody had any business not to be ready. In the short term, there will be some challenges in the switch-over to GST. Over medium to long term, revenues of Centre, states will grow; size of formal economy to grow too," the finance minister said and added that consequently GST should have a positive impact on the GDP.
