Two people tried to manhandle CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury at a press conference he held to protest the violence against farmers in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. Yechury escaped unhurt, and the men were beaten up and handed over to the police.

@SitaramYechury tweeted saying, "We will not be cowed down by any attempts of Sangh's goondagardi to silence us. This is a battle for the soul of India, which we will win."
