The Delhi court has granted bail to TTV Dinakaran & his aide Mallikarjun over allegedly bribing EC officials for AIADMK's two-leaves symbol.

The court granted Sasikala's nephew bail on a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh and have asked both of them -- Dinakaran & his aide Mallikarjun -- to surrender their passports.

On April 25, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (Amma) leader arrested in New Delhi for attempting to bribe an Election Commission official for retaining the party's poll symbol of 'two-leaves' for his faction.

Dinakaran, who was arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch on April 25, sought bail on the ground that there was no reason to keep him in custody and no public servant was made an accused in the case though he was booked on graft charges.

His bail was opposed by the police which had said he had conspired with others to undermine the sanctity of the electoral process through corrupt means and practices.
