Less than a day after resigning as Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar took oath on Thursday as the head of the government for the sixth time with Sushil Kumar Modi sworn in as deputy chief minister.

However, the decision hasn't been appreciated by many within Nitish's party itself.

JD-U Maharashtra unit head Kapil has criticised Nitish's decision to go with the BJP. He says the party will decide future course of action in a meet soon.

Earlier, the Kerala unit chief voiced his disapproval of Nitish Kumar's move.

Meanwhile, the Congress and many other parties on Thursday described Nitish Kumar's joining hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party as "treachery" with the people's mandate and said it was "a black day" for Indian democracy.
