Terrorists in car escape from checkpoint, army launches search

A cordon and search operation has been launched by the Indian Army on Monday late night after unknown number of terrorists exchanged fire with the forces in Ajas area of Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to police, the terrorists, riding a car, managed to escape a checkpoint laid out by the security forces at Ajas on Monday evening.

The forces also recovered a grenade and a pouch from the spot.
