Modi leaves for Israel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for his two-nation visit to Israel and Germany.

'Intense week for bilateral & multilateral diplomacy. PM @narendramodi departs for Tel Aviv, the first leg of his tour,' Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted.

The first Indian PM to visit Israel, Modi will meet his counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday to elevate 25 years of diplomatic relations between the countries.

Modi will also call on Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

In the second and final leg of his tour, Prime Minsiter Modi will visit Hamburg in Germany to attend the 12th G-20 Summit. -- ANI
