How PETA cared for animals in its care

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an organisation which claims that "animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment" and claims to work for their "welfare and rehabilitation", was reportedly responsible for the death of around 2,000 domestic animals in its care in 2011, reports Swarajya, and that 'a 2012 report by a non-profit organisation has revealed that PETA has "killed" 34,000 animals at its headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia since 1998,' here.
