The legal row involving Cambata Aviation has resulted in one of Mumbai's landmarks, Eros cinema in Churchgate, being sealed by the collector's office on Wednesday.

Phone calls to the iconic cinema confirmed that the theatre has been sealed and all shows have been cancelled on Wednesday.

Eros is owned by the Cambata family which also runs the aviation company Cambata Aviation and Bird Worldwide Flight Service.

The firm had an FIR registered against it by the Maharashtra government last week for non-cooperation with its officials who had gone to the airline's premises to seize its equipment following a court order to do so for non-payment of dues to its employees.
