Navjot Singh Sidhu joins Congress ahead of Punjab polls

Navjot Singh Sidhu joins the Congress. He will contest the Punjab polls from the Amritsar East constituency. Sidhu joined the Congress after much speculation.

In September last year, cricketer-turned-politician resigned from the BJP. Earlier, he quit his Rajya Sabha membership and had announced floating of a non-political platform, Awaz-e-Punjab.
