US president-elect Donald Trump slammed Meryl Streep as 'one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood' after she used her Golden Globes acceptance speech to publicly slam him. @realDonaldTrump tweeted saying, "Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. Streep who was honoured with the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award at the Globes today, did not name Trump, but used her entire speech to say his actions legitimised bullying.

The president-elect, who is due to be inaugurated in less than two weeks, had dismissed the actress as "a Hillary lover" in a telephone interview with the New York Times.
