Mulayam expels Ramgopal again, calls another convention

The family drama in the ruling Samajwadi Party is not yet over as Mulayam Singh Yadav has again expelled Ramgopal from the party for six years.

Mulayam said that resolutions passed in today's convention called by Ramgopal are illegal and unconstitutional.

He also called another national convention on January 5.

Earlier, upstaging Mulayam, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was anointed the SP president in place of his father in party convention which also proposed the expulsion of "outsider" Amar Singh and removal of Shivpal Yadav from the post of UP chief.
