The deep fissure in the AIADMK seems to prolong its existence by day as sources say that VK Sasikala may lead a hunger strike by her legislators at former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaas memorial in Chennai on Sunday.

NDTV reported that if the Governor of Chennai does not consent to the formation of Sasikalas government, the close confidante of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa may sit on hunger strike.

Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, on the other hand, wants to test the water as he is inclined to invite Sasikala to form the government only after Supreme Court passes its verdict in a corruption case. The order, which will be announced next week, will be tantamount for Sasikala for the formation of her government.
