The AIADMK (Amma) faction has come out formally against deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran. It has, in a meeting headed by Tamil Nadu CM E Palaniswami with senior party leaders this morning, passed a resolution that the appointments made by Dinakaran are not permissible as per the rules of the party and that his decisions would not be binding on members of the party. Appointment of Dinakaran as Sasiskala's deputy against party by-laws, says the resolution adopted at meeting chaired by CM Palaniswami.

Twenty seven functionaries of the party including senior Ministers attended the meeting.

The resolution also said that VK Sasikala's appointment as party general secretary was only till the election of the new chief and will not be leading the party .
